Train service cancelled due to rockfall on the Coonoor–Mettupalayam railway track.

In the Nilgiris district, intermittent rain has been falling in and around Coonoor for the past week. Today, rocks fell onto the hill railway track in the Hillgrove area between Mettupalayam and Coonoor. As a result, the hill train scheduled to run from Mettupalayam to Coonoor was cancelled.
